2021 - MAYBE WE'LL HAVE SOME SHOWS THIS YEAR?
Well, the year 2020 was interesting, wasn’t it! I went to the Amelia Island Concours in March, when the Covid 19 Virus was just becoming prominent in the news. Events were not cancelling yet, but they soon would be. Almost all of the events I had scheduled were cancelled, and a couple that were not cancelled, I was persuaded by my family to cancel myself, out of an abundance of caution.
The upside to all of this, is that without road trips to shows, I was able to finish a few more paintings than I might have otherwise, along with some commissions. I’ll be showing you some of those here soon. One interesting commission was to paint a piece featuring the Good Guys Rod and Custom Association Give-Away Car, a Chevy Nova done up in great style.
Another event of note - I was invited to participate in the International Water Color Masters Exhibit, to be held in May at Lillieshall Hall, Shropshire, UK. (Late word, though, has it delayed until 2022, due to Covid conditions still creating problems in England.) This event will be featuring 40 selected water color artists from around the world, and it is a great honor to be invited!
Hopefully, this year’s event schedule will begin to resemble something near to normal, and as I firm up plans for events, I will post this year’s schedule.
Thanks to everyone, and I hope to see you soon!
