The Agajanian Special was an Indy Roadster owned and sponsored by JC Agajanian, and driven by Troy Ruttman, who had become the youngest winner of the Indianapolis 500 in 1952 at the age of 22. While this car had trouble getting up to sufficient speed to qualify for the 1958 Indianapolis 500, it did quite well in that year’s edition of “The Race of Two Worlds” which pitted American Indy Cars against the European Formula One cars of the day, on the steeply banked oval at Monza, Italy.
